The four production stages
Solid-phase synthesis
The peptide chain is assembled residue by residue on a solid resin support using Fmoc protection chemistry. Automated synthesisers control coupling times and reagent delivery, which is what keeps long sequences accurate.
Cleavage and purification
The crude peptide is cleaved from the resin and purified by reverse-phase HPLC. This step removes deletion sequences and side-reaction products — it is the step that actually determines final purity.
Analysis and release
Purity is measured by analytical HPLC and identity confirmed by mass spectrometry against the theoretical molecular weight. Only batches meeting specification are released, and the numbers go onto the certificate.
Lyophilisation and packaging
The purified peptide is freeze-dried under vacuum to a stable powder, filled into vials, sealed and labelled with its lot code before cold-chain dispatch.

What a Certificate of Analysis tells you
A CoA is only useful if it is specific. Ours states the product name and sequence, the lot number, the date of analysis, the HPLC purity as measured, the observed and theoretical molecular weight from mass spectrometry, the appearance of the material and the recommended storage conditions.
If a certificate cannot be matched to the lot code printed on the vial in front of you, it is not documentation — it is decoration. Ours match.
